FREE Public Sector Procurement and Contracts
Management Seminar
Time and Date : 4pm - 6pm,
30 September 2010
Venue : Abel Room, Hotel Abel Tasman, 169 Willis St, Wellington
The Hindin Seminar series brings together speakers from across the public sector to present topics of
interest, impact or concern. Sometimes we invite speakers who have a soapbox they want to stand on and radical ideas
they want to express to the sector!
The talks are followed by a roundtable and discussion opportunities eased by good wine with a NZ cheese board.
These talks are highly regarded so if you cannot come please tell a colleague!
Seminar Agenda
Welcome from Hindin Solutions
Kerry Farmer (Implementation
Consultant, Hindin Solutions) will open the event
with some brief notes from the previous seminar
and an update on 'what Government Purchasers are telling us'.
Presentation by Phil McKenzie
- National Manager, Marketing & Procurement for Landcorp
Farming.
"Is price what matters for
Landcorp - NZ's single biggest farmer with over 100 farms?
With farms spread around the
country most have a range of different requirements that need to
be catered for with any purchasing agreement. Often needs change
during a season depending on the weather. Flexible arrangements,
for delivery, product type and volume, and for servicing provide
a challenge for any supplier.
Phil McKenzie, originally from a farm in
Southland, has been involved in many operational and management
roles in the rural sector both in NZ and overseas. He is a
graduate of both Lincoln and Massey and has an MBA from the
University of Queensland. He currently chairs the National
Procurement Committee for Landcorp which sources a wide range of
inputs for all their farms.
Questions, Roundtable
and Networking
This is a closed door session that allows you to question the speakers and share with your colleagues on
issues and best practices within public sector procurement and contracts management world.
Wine and a cheeseboard will
be available to fuel the debate.
